Tap into these resources to provide academic and technology assistance for tutoring,writing, disability accommodations, Canvas issues and other technology help. 


ACADEMIC SUCCESS CENTER/LEARNING SUPPORT CENTER 

All tutoring and writing support services will be available to students on all campuses remotely through Microsoft Teams. In exceptional circumstances, in-person meetings will be conducted in alignment with university health and safety standards.

Tampa: 

  • To request tutoring in a SMART Lab course, including College Algebra, Precalculus, Business Calculus, Finite Math, and Intermediate Algebra visit: SMART Lab Appointments.  
  • For tutoring in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Statistics, Physics, Calculus and/or to meet with a Study Skills Mentor visit: ASC Tutoring Hub Appointments.

Sarasota-Manatee: Visit www.usfsm.mywconline.com to request assistance. A Learning Support Services administrative team member will review the request, route accordingly to a tutor, and return feedback to the student. Please note that the Learning Support Services division depends on student tutors who may be self-isolated during this time. As such, services may be delayed. BookstoreS

Tampa:

The USF Bookstore will be providing an "Online Order Pick-Up Window Service" to promote social distancing and keep all students, faculty and staff safe. The online order pick-up windows are located at the end of Lot 5A (R Parking), between the USF Bookstore and the Student Health Clinic. We encourage students to take full advantage of our extended hours. Shop late in the day and avoid lines.

Financial Aid (BAPP) will be available in store and online. The first day of Financial Aid is TBD. The last day to use your BAPP online is August 26 at 11:59pm ET. The last day to use your BAPP in store is August 27.

Hours of operation:

  • Aug. 21:  8 am - 5 pm
  • Aug. 22-23:  10 am - 5 pm
  • Aug. 24-27:  8 am - 9 pm
  • Aug. 28:  8 am - 5 pm
  • Aug. 29:  10 am - 4 pm
  • Aug. 30:  12 pm - 4 pm

St. Petersburg:

Contactless pickup will be available starting August 17. Students will have the ability to wait in their car, a team member will hand deliver the order and place in back seat/tuck area. Designated parking spots located in the parking garage adjacent to the bookstore will be used. In-store pick up for online orders will continue to be available, as well as social distancing queue lines for customers to checkout.

Sarasota Manatee:

The USF Sarasota-Manatee Campus Bookstore will be open starting on Monday August 17, 2020. Face Coverings will be required & physical distancing must be observed. USF’s face covering requirements may be viewed here. Online shopping is recommended & preferred. Only a limited number of people may be in the store at the same time. This will ensure appropriate social distancing.

Tutoring Support

Additional online tutoring support is available to students this Fall via SMARTTHINKING. The university has partnered with Pearson to provide FREE tutoring in languages, computer coding, anatomy and physiology, and more! To get on demand help, sign-in via your Net ID by going online to the ASC website: usf.edu/asc. All USF students are welcome, undergraduate and graduate!

Libraries

Our libraries will be open for face-to-face services following university health and safety standards, including capacity limits, physical distancing, and face coverings.

You must reserve your seat at the Tampa campus and the St. Petersburg campus libraries in the new USF Libraries Seating Reservation System. Keep your physical distance and check occupancy online before you arrive.


Student Accessibility Services

Students who currently have or are in need of academic accommodations related to a documented disability will continue to be supported by the Student Accessibility Services (SAS) office.
