Post Graduate Support
Postgraduate resources at USF are designed to help students seamlessly transition from their undergraduate education to the next step, whether that’s moving right into a career or pursuing graduate studies. At USF, we believe the true value of our university is how far it can take you in life.
Academic and Career Assessment Services
From deciding on an academic path to evaluating possible careers, college forces students to confront some major decisions that can determine the direction of their futures. Fortunately, they’re not alone. USF offers a variety of assessment and planning services designed to guide students to the best choice based on their interests, talent and job market opportunities:
Internships at USF offer students a hands-on introduction to working in a desired field of study. Students will learn how course material is applied to real-world work responsibilities and build valuable experience that will help them build their resume and eventually gain full-time employment. USF’s location in the dynamic Tampa Bay region offers students many opportunities to gain experience with a wide variety of local companies across various industries.
Cooperative education (co-op) at USF incorporates hands-on, paid, career-related work experience with the student’s academic program to provide valuable training. Students work alongside industry professionals committed to mentoring and developing young professionals. Co-ops are offered part-time (15-25 hours per week) or full-time (35 hours per week), and they are typically longer in duration than an internship.
From resume help to networking to finding job openings to interviewing, the job search can be a daunting process. Fortunately, USF offers numerous resources to guide students through each and every step.
