Appeals Process for Freshmen

Applicants who are denied admission may appeal the decision.

Please know that very few appeals (<10%) are granted, and the decision of the Faculty Committee is final; therefore, we encourage denied applicants to make alternative plans, including enrolling in one of the 28 colleges in the Florida College System.

Appeal Deadlines
Entry Term Deadline
Summer Semester April 1 or within 2 weeks if denied after March 15
Fall Semester April 1 or within 2 weeks if denied after March 15
Spring Semester December 1 or within 2 weeks if denied after November 15

what to submit

Students who are requesting an admissions appeal must consider all necessary items from the list below that will contribute for their reconsideration. You must submit all items together as a complete package for reconsideration. Failure to submit items together will result in a delayed processing time.

    4. Low completion ratio of attempted to total credits earned
  2. (REQUIRED): Official high school transcript including most recent semester grades
  3. (RECOMMENDED): Letters of recommendation from teachers, professors or academic advisors familiar with the applicant's academic history are encouraged.
