Biography
Dr. Ken Caswell is an Instructor II of Chemistry in our Biology program, as well as of Environmental Science. His PhD is from University of South Carolina, but he comes to us from USF Tampa, where for 10 years he taught a variety of undergraduate courses for Chemistry and Biochemistry programs, general education and the Honors College.
He has been a leader in innovation of those curricula to create a student-centered approach to learning. He co-taught in Florence, Italy, as part of the USF World Education Abroad science program. In his biochemical research he collaborates with his students, as well as with other faculty. Dr. Caswell enjoys indulging his curiosity about the science of daily life in a wide variety of pastimes, such as drawing, playing the guitar, home brewing, cooking, wine-tasting and enjoying the outdoors with two of his quadruped best friends.
