Funding

Students are encouraged to explore all funding options available to them within the School of Geosciences, including Graduate Assistantships, Fellowships and Awards, and the National Science Foundation-funded STEM Scholarship.

Cost of Attendance

Current information regarding tuition and fees for the University of South Florida can be found at USF Student Services. The Office of Graduate Studies hosts a tuition and fee calculator that is helpful for calculating your expected costs.

International applicants should refer to the information provided by USF World regarding the financial requirements to issue an I-20/DS-2019.

Other Financial Support

On occasion, graduate students in the department are hired by other units on campus. In the past, these units have been The Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR), the United States Geological Survey, and the Florida Center for Community Design and Research (FCCDR). Students may submit applications for employment at these offices. In addition, part-time and full-time jobs that become known to the department are posted on the bulletin board outside of the department office (NES 201). 

University Graduate Fellowships 

Fellowships are funds awarded to full-time students of outstanding academic potential to offset the cost of their degree.
