Fellowships and Scholarships
USF has many opportunities for graduate students to obtain funding for graduate education. USF Graduate Fellows comprise a diverse population of students, disciplines, and research interests that epitomize the Office of Graduate Studies’ goal of “preparing global leaders, one scholar at a time.”
USF College, Department, or Program Scholarships and Fellowships
USF has many scholarship and fellowship opportunities available to USF students. Search the USF Scholarship Database or USF Foundation Scholarships page to discover and apply to USF funding opportunities. Students are also encouraged to review their specific college website.
USF Office of Graduate Studies Scholarships and Fellowships
The USF Office of Graduate Studies is committed to excellence in graduate education and is proud to offer fellowship opportunities for new and continuing students. Some of these fellowships are only available to students through nominations by their Major/Department, while others are available by direct submission from students who meet the eligibility requirements outlined below.
It is important to note that funding for the fellowships is limited and the competition for the awards is substantial. In addition, many of the fellowships require that a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) be completed and filed with USF.
To be considered for specific awards, it is critical to submit a complete application prior to the stated deadline. Applications received after the deadline will not be reviewed.
Students with existing support will not be considered for most of these fellowships. In addition, in most cases students will only receive a maximum of one award.
