Planning to apply to graduate school? This guide breaks the process into four simple steps: researching your options, planning ahead for deadlines and funding, gathering essential documents, and submitting your application. 1. Research Your Options

Familiarize yourself with the specific requirements for your major.

Tip: Learn about major requirements at least 12 months before the deadline.

2. Plan Ahead

Review the graduate admission requirements along with the priority deadlines for your major.

Tip: If interested in funding opportunities, apply by the priority deadline. Contact the appropriate graduate director for funding information. 

3. Gather Essential Documents

Check your major for additional admissions requirements.

Tip: Make sure you are checking for any testing requirements for your specific major, GRE, GMAT, MCAT, TOEFL. If so, take your tests early so you can retake them if necessary!

4. Apply For Admission

Be sure that all of your admission materials are ready to submit before starting the application (e.g. resume, letters of recommendation, application fee, etc.)
