The University of South Florida is the first university to reach an agreement with the Society of Wetland Scientists Professional Certification Program (SWSPCP), guaranteeing students who complete coursework included in the requirements to earn a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and policy will also have satisfied the coursework required to receive the Wetland Professional in Training (WPIT) certification — the first step to becoming a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS).
