İdilbike is a doctoral student in the Politics and International Affairs Ph.D. program
in the School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies at the University of South Florida.
She holds B.A. degrees in International Relations and Economics, as well as an M.A.
in Political Science and International Relations from Koç University in Istanbul.
She completed internships in auditing, investor relations, and commodity exports before
gaining professional experience in the banking sector, where she worked in cash management
and trade finance, marketing and product development. These experiences strengthen
her academic perspective by linking economic practice with questions of governance,
diplomacy, and international cooperation.
Her master’s thesis analyzed the interaction between the European Union’s normative
power approach and geopolitical considerations in global policy making since the 1990s,
particularly within the UN framework. Her research interests include international
political economy, European foreign policy, and diplomacy.
