Erica Toothman is a Professor of Instruction in the Department of Sociology and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences. She joined the faculty at USF in 2013 after earning her Ph.D. from Florida State University. Her teaching and research interests center on medical Sociology, gender, aging, and body, and quantitative methods. Recently, she has been working on online teaching development, including offerings in introductory Sociology and Social Science Statistics. Erica serves on the Sociology department’s Undergraduate and Colloquium Committees. and the College of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Committee. Recently, Erica was the recipient of the Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award for 2016.
