Our bachelor's degree programs in Sociology and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences provide our students with:

  • the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in our increasingly diverse world.
  • intellectual and practical skills in communication, leadership, critical and analytical thinking, problem solving, methodological reasoning, statistical analysis, and multicultural and global understanding -- the same skills 21st century employers value and seek.
  • a context in which to exercise personal and social responsibility.
  • opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills through a variety of "high impact practices," such as internships, community-engaged learning, education abroad, undergraduate research experiences, and collaborative learning. These practices can help get your foot in the door of the employer or graduate program of your dreams.

If you are new to USF, please set up an appointment with one of our academic advisors and introduce yourself to our faculty. We are eager to welcome you and to learn more about you.
