Apply for a Card

Overview

The University of South Florida Procurement (PCard) is available to eligible USF employees for purchasing approved commodities, services, and travel expenses related to official USF business

Before applying, review the eligbility requirements below and complete the required training.


STEP 1: Confirm Eligibility

Pcards may be issued to USF System employees who need to make purchases for official university business.

Individuals Not Eligible for a PCard

The following individuals are generally not permitted to receive a PCard:

  • Temporary employees (OPS)
  • Visiting faculty or staff
  • Convenience appointments
  • Courtesy appointments
  • Volunteers
  • Other non-compensated personnel

Step 2: Determine Your Card Type

Before applying, decide which type of PCard you need:

  • Commodity-Only PCard
    Use for approved purchases of commodities and services.
  • Commodity & Travel PCard
    Use for approved commodities, services, and travel-related expenses.

Step 3: Complete Required Training

All prospective cardholders must complete:

FST 109 – PCard Training

Access the training through:

MyUSF My ResourcesUSF Employee Learning → Search for "PCard Training"


Step 4: Submit Your PCard Application

To request a new PCard, click on the button below which will direct you to PPSOne and complete the PCard Account Management Form.

Important: The PCard Account Management Form is used for several PCard-related services. Be sure to select the option for New PCard Application when completing the form.

What Happens Next?

After your application is reviewed and approved:

  1.  PCard Services will process your request.
  2. Your card will be issued through the university's banking partner.
  3. You will receive instructions regarding card activation and any required documentation.

PCard Renewal

At the time a PCard account renews, the bank will automatically send a new PCard to the Cardholder's home address or the address on file with the bank.

The Cardholder will be notified via e-mail to fill out and submit their signed cardholder agreement to PCard Services at PCard@usf.edu for activation of the card account.
