Ten ways alumni can engage with the Nault Center for Entrepreneurship

TAMPA — Whether it’s been one year or 10 since graduation, alumni of the Nault Center for Entrepreneurship remain part of the Nault family — and there are more ways than ever to reconnect and get involved. Here are 10 of our favorites:

1. Volunteer at our events

Judge a competition, speak at an event or volunteer your time. From health care to engineering, Nault Center events span a wide range of topics and industries. Alumni are encouraged to return as judges, speakers or volunteers to help shape the next generation of entrepreneurs.

2. Attend a free community event

Our “Conversation with a Founder” speaker series is open to alumni and offers a rare chance to hear directly from founders who have successfully exited their businesses. Gain insights, ask questions and get inspired.

3. Mentor students

Mentorship is at the core of the Nault Center’s programming. Whether it’s offering advice on competition prep, coaching startups or brainstorming with students, your experience matters. Programs such as Every Student Entrepreneur (ESE) and HUSTLE (Helping University Students Tackle Leadership and Entrepreneurship) rely on engaged mentors like you.

4. Network with other alumni

Join our new alumni LinkedIn group or attend in-person mixers to connect with fellow Nault grads and grow your professional circle.

5. Share your story

We love celebrating alumni success. Schedule a virtual or in-person interview with our marketing team and get featured on the Nault Center website and social media.

6. Promote job or internship opportunities

Have an opening at your company? Share it with us — we’ll help promote it to Muma College of Business students through Handshake, 12Twenty and direct email outreach.

7. Refer a future Bull

Know a high school student who’d thrive at USF? Invite them to BullsPitch, our annual event where students tour the Tampa and St. Petersburg campuses, watch a pitch demo and meet recruiters. You can also send them to our admissions page to learn more.

8. Engage with us on social media

Stay connected by following, liking and sharing content from the Nault Center’s Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook accounts.

9. Recommend keynote speakers or judges

Send us suggestions for successful entrepreneurs, investors or industry leaders who would make great speakers or competition judges.

10. Collaborate on research or thought leadership

Work with faculty or staff on articles, papers or special projects in entrepreneurship. If you have experience with patent commercialization, we often have unique research opportunities in that area as well.

“I owe so much of my growth to the Nault Center. Now, being able to mentor and support current students feels like coming full circle. Every alum has something valuable to offer,” said Frank Nunez, a Nault alumnus and program planner for the Nault Center.
