Anthony Concepcion, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is an Assistant Professor of Instruction and the program chair and VCS coordinator for the Applied Behavior Analysis MA program in the Department of Child & Family Studies. He attained a Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of South Florida and master’s degree in Human Services Psychology with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

Prior to coming to USF, Dr. Concepcion was a clinical specialist at the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s (KKI) Neurobehavioral Unit/ Johns Hopkins Medical School. While at KKI, he provided treatment for individuals who displayed aggressive, disruptive, self-injurious behaviors and training to caregivers, including direct-care, and post-doctoral staff. 

Dr. Concepcion’s research interests are in the areas of assessment and treatment of severe behavior, behavioral assessment, decision-making, and behavior analytic program evaluation of higher education curricula. Dr. Concepcion currently serves as an editor for the Journal of Educators Online.
