Early Admission (EA): The Process for applying begins the summer before the junior year of high school. 

 

Deadlines are as late as possible. Schools may elect to enforce earlier deadlines to accommodate their school calendar. This ensures students have time to make application and submit course approvals.

The Judy Genshaft Honors College is not part of Early Admissions. All admitted USF students (includes Early Admission students) who qualify may apply; if interested, see the JGHC website for deadlines and requirements.

January

Schools/Districts/ Home School Administrators start requesting a full-year DE articulation  agreement by 4/1. (See Forms on this website)

Districts /Homeschool Administrators start requesting a full-year DE articulation (See Forms link on DE website) agreement request is due by 4/15

Students applying to Early Admissions with EUP should ensure that all test scores, transcripts, GPA, immunization, residency, and online application have been completed. All these and the application are due prior to March 15th, no exceptions.

Start with the online application and Form 1. Deadline for EUP application prior to 3/15. This includes official test scores, unofficial high school transcripts, immunization forms, residency and any other documentation as needed.

February

New students submit a complete non-degree application between 2/15 and by 6/1 (If students have been out 2 semesters including summer semester a new non-degree application must be submitted online by 6/1)

New students to Dual Enrollment complete Form 1 between 2/15 and 6/1.

Select Districts start to Plan it's DE instructional plan (what courses to be taught, at which schools, and by whom) for the next year. The Planning Form is due by 4/15 (Form is sent to districts in January and is posted in Forms on this Website. (DE high school teachers-See March for deadlines) 

New students submit a complete non-degree application between 2/15 and by 6/1 (If students have been out 2 semesters including summer semester a new non-degree application must be submitted online by 6/1)

Districts/Private Schools/ Charter Schools/ Homeschool Administrators request a full-year Early Admissions Articulation Agreement by 4/1 to support the students who have applied for Early Admissions in March. These were students in their Junior Year of High School who will be Seniors in the up-coming school year. (See forms on this website)

March   Prospective adjuncts "Courtesy Faculty" for Select Districts that have school-based DE courses submit all credentialing materials for teachers by 4/15. Contact EUP office for assistance and planning.

Students must complete Early Admissions online application prior to 3/15.

Students are informed of acceptance or denial to EUP / USF Early Admission as their applications are processed or by 6/1. 

 Students will submit a completed EUP / Early Admissions online application and a completed Form 1, prior to 3/15. They must also send official test scores and unofficial transcripts to USF admissions that are confirmed by their counselor and are evaluated by USF to ensure that the student meets the Early Admissions Profile prior to March 15th.

Only Counselors submit the completed Early Admissions Approval Form 2 for USF fall registration; due by March 15th.  

Students should have a completed online application (do not pay), official test scores, appropriate GPA, high school transcripts submitted to admissions, prior to March 15th.

Once admitted, students must sign up for ORIENTATION (on My USF Oasis, or call your campus), no exceptions ($35/person).  Once completed, the registration process will begin and students will be assigned an advisor.

April Public school district’s articulation agreement for the next year is finalized by 5/15

District submits it's DE instructional plan for the next year (what courses to be taught, at which schools, and by whom (teacher) by 4/15 ( Form sent to districts in January)

Only Counselors can submit Approval Form 2. Form 2 indicates the remaining courses needed for high school graduation.

Counselors should advise students on how to submit official test scores and transcripts to USF admissions or students will be dropped.

Counselor/Homeschool Administrators submit completed school approval Form 2 for Fall course enrollment between 5/15 to 6/15 or before they leave for break. This form must be re-submitted every semester for a students continued DE registration.

Students may begin to register themselves in Early August through MyOasis but, courses must match the Approval Form 2 the counselor submits. The CRNs may vary or change as entered on Form 2 due to space available which is understood. If courses need to be changed the counselor can submit the change on Form 2 after the student has registered. USF needs evidence of approval.

One year before applying for Early Admissions:  Typically, this is the summer of their Junior Year. Students can apply to EUP as an Early Admissions student in July, prior to their Junior year.

 

July Late July (Early August), students may register themselves through My Oasis for the approved courses that were discussed with their counselor/ Homeschool Administrator. This includes all Online Courses and USF Campus courses and occurs when the non-degree registration period opens. (See important dates)

HS campus courses will be developed and students are registered as a "courtesy registration" when courses are taken on a HS Campus.

Students must register themselves for Online Courses and USF Campus courses when the non-degree registration opens in late July or early August. (See important dates for non-degree seeking student registration.) The CRNs may vary or change as to the ones submitted on Form 2 due to space available which is understood. If courses need to be changed the counselor can submit the change on Form 2 after the student self-registered. USF retains evidence of approval.

August

 Students and schools are informed of fall registered courses by 8/1 to the start date of the semester and students can verify enrollment on My Oasis and continue to enroll themselves up to the first week of school during drop / add week. (Always add first, then drop)

 

Counselors submit any late registrations or revisions changes on approval Form 2

Schools receive confirmation from the student of enrollment for HS campus courses. DE Faculty can also verify enrollment at this time.

All DE Students can verify enrollment/ grades through My Oasis by 8/1 or through the start of the first week of classes on CANVAS

High School Campus "Courtesy Faculty" can check Student rosters in Canvas to verify the students are enrolled and report errors. They can also print off a copy for the school administrators to compare against their own school registration.

Students planning on attending Early Admissions should take SAT / ACT tests starting in the summer before their Junior year of high school to ensure USF gets the test scores posted for admission.  There are no exceptions.
September Private schools or Homeschool Administrators submit a request for half-year articulation agreement by 10/15 for Spring Semester (see Forms on this website)

Counselors prepare for Spring Semester. If High School Based DE courses are known for Semester 2 /Spring, Counselors can start submitting Form 2 for the students at this time.  No CRN Course Number is needed for High School based courses.

 Request Articulation Agreements if needed by November 1.

Students planning on applying and attending as Early Admission dual enrollment students should be finalizing all the requirements listed above.  There are no exceptions.
October Private school or homeschool finalize the half-year articulation agreement by 10/15 for Spring Semester   Students planning on applying and attending as Early Admission dual enrollment students should be finalizing all the requirements listed above.
November

New Students to DE submit a complete non-degree application for the spring semester start by 11/1 and complete the application,  Form 1 and submit official test scores and unofficial transcripts. Students should coordinate with their counselor or homeschool administrator.  (If returning students have been out 2 semesters including summer semester a new non-degree application must be submitted online by 6/1)

Counselor/ Homeschool Administrator submits a complete Approval Form 2 by 11/15. This form must be re-submitted every semester for a students continued DE registration.

Articulation Agreements for Spring only are due signed by November 1.

New Students to DE complete a non-degree application for Spring start between 10/1 to 11/15 the deadline. They must complete Form 1 and submit official test scores and unofficial transcripts. (If returning students have been out 2 semesters including summer semester a new non-degree application must be submitted online by 6/1)

New Students/Parents also complete and submit Form 1.

School counselors submit Form 2 for Spring course enrollment starting 11/1 to 11/15 deadline or before the November break

Students planning on applying and attending as Early Admission dual enrollment students should be finalizing all the requirements listed above.  There are no exceptions for the March 15th deadline.

December  Students/Counselors/ Homeschool Administrators are informed of Spring registered schedule 12/15

Schools/District receives confirmation from student of DE course enrollment by 12/15 or before break. DE Faculty can also check enrollment at this time.

All Students verify enrollment/ grades through My Oasis by 12/20 or through the start of the first week of classes on CANVAS

 Students planning on applying and attending as Early Admission dual enrollment students should be finalizing all the requirements listed above. There are no exceptions for the March 15th deadline.
