USF Preschool for Creative Learning teacher receives 2019 NAECTE Outstanding Early Childhood Practitioner Award

TAMPA, Fla. (October 16, 2019) — USF Preschool for Creative Learning teacher Eloah Decat, `15 & M.Ed. `17, was selected to receive the National Association of Early Childhood Teacher Educators (NAECTE)’s 2019 Outstanding Early Childhood Practitioner Award.

The NAECTE is a professional organization whose members come from all across the U.S. and countries around the globe and who are joined together by a common interest in Early Childhood Teacher Education. The NAECTE Outstanding Early Childhood Practitioner Award celebrates meritorious leadership and professionalism in early childhood teacher education. Recipients demonstrate leadership, professionalism, self-reflective practice and mentoring as part of their work in the field.

A two-time graduate of the College of Education, Decat received her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 2015 and a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in 2017. She currently teaches VPK students in the Holly classroom at the USF Preschool for Creative Learning.

Decat will be recognized at the NAECTE annual meeting in Nashville, Tenn. in November.
