Lindsay Persohn, Ph.D.

Inspired by the power of stories and images, Lindsay Persohn, Ph.D., investigates how children’s literature and the arts foster imagination and learning.

Persohn is an assistant professor in the Literacy Studies Program in the Department of Language, Literacy, Ed.D., Exceptional Education and Physical Education on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus.

Prior to entering this role, Persohn was a visiting faculty member in the Department of Teaching and Learning on USF’s Tampa campus. She received her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy Studies from USF in 2018. Persohn’s research interests include children's literature, art history and qualitative research methods.
