Department of Mechanical Engineering Faculty Search 2023-2024
Open-rank tenured/tenure-track professor
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Florida invites applications for the following:
- A tenured/tenure-track faculty position in Aerospace Engineering. Applicants with a background in aerospace vehicle design, aerospace structures, urban air mobility, avionics, aero- and astrodynamics, orbital mechanics, autonomous path planning, or space navigation are especially encouraged to apply.
- A tenured/tenure-track faculty position in Mechanical Engineering. Applicants with a background in renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, robotics, autonomous systems, or data/AI-driven design are especially encouraged to apply.
Please clearly state in the subject line of your cover letter whether you wish to be considered for the Mechanical Engineering position or the Aerospace Engineering position (as part of our new Aerospace program).
Applicants in the area of materials science will not be considered. Successful applicants may be hired at the Assistant (Job ID: 35065), Associate (Job ID: 35066), or Full Professor (Job ID: 35067) level and should plan to begin in Fall 2024.
