Undergraduate Course Prerequisite Requirements for the Masters Degree

Students entering the Masters Degree program must have completed the following courses in their undergraduate program:

Mathematics Mechanical Engineering
  • Calculus I, II, III
  • Differential Equations
  • Thermodynamics
  • Heat Transfer
  • Fluid Mechanics
  • Machine Design
  • Solid Mechanics

Students entering from disciplines outside of Mechanical Engineering will be required to make up any deficiencies before starting their graduate coursework.

PhD requires a Statement of Research Interests

*All international applicants for whom English is not the native tongue must provide proof of competence in the English language. International applicants from non-English speaking countries must provide a minimum EP scores taken within 2 years of the desired term of entry. Applicants who are from an English speaking country, have previously earned a US degree, or whose medium of instruction was English ( must be notated on transcripts), may not have to submit EP test scores.
