Reimagining Assessments in the age of ai

This workshop explores innovative strategies for assessment and best practices in an era where artificial intelligence is reshaping how students demonstrate learning. Participants will learn performance-based assessment tools including student-generated content such as videos, the new Canvas portfolio solution, and student annotation tools like Perusall to enrich collaborative meaning-making and critical thinking. We’ll also explore best practices and examples of AI-resilient assessments that emphasize critical thinking, process, and metacognition. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies to enhance their assessment practices and support meaningful learning in today’s AI-enhanced courses.
