Strategies for Success: Guiding Students to Thrive in Your Course
I have never met a student that began my course thinking, "I hope I do terrible this semester." If we come to the conclusion that no student *wants* to fail, then how do we help them to succeed?
This workshop will demonstrate ways create and share targeted success resources early in the term. Topics include time management tailored to your assignments, effective reading/note-taking for your content, Canvas navigation, and basic metacognitive practices. Faculty will see examples of these topics in action and how to embed them in your course to help students to thrive in the learning environment you create.
