Psychology Professor Tiffany Chenneville has been awarded the American Psychological Association’s Springfield Policy Congressional Fellowship, allowing her the opportunity to work on Capitol Hill for a year, utilizing her expertise in service of public policy.

Sam Bell, founder of the College of Public Health, posthumously awarded USF’s Distinguished Citizen Award

Samuel Bell passed away Mar. 14 at the age of 83. The former legislator in the Florida House of Representatives and founder of the USF College of Public Health was posthumously honored for his tireless support of USF and the people of Florida.

Researcher shows 3D printed nasal swab

USF Health earns national recognition for 3D-printed nasal swab used in pandemic

USF has been awarded the Patents for Humanity award by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its creation of the 3D-printed nasal swab, created in the early part of the pandemic as a solution to the disrupted commercial production of standard swabs that were critical in diagnostic testing for COVID-19.

USF researchers use 3D technology to explore an ancient Greek city in Sicily

Thanks to the interdisciplinary work of a team of USF scientists, the ancient Greek city of Heloros, in Sicily, is now being studied with the most advanced digital technologies. The team identified additional structural details of the city, which dates to the eighth century B.C., and is now able to reveal a fuller picture of its layout.

USF student veteran receives national honor from the Pat Tillman Foundation

University of South Florida aging studies student and U.S. Air Force veteran Rio Tate is being awarded a 2022 Tillman Scholarship through the Pat Tillman Foundation. Tate is the only student from a Florida public university in this year’s class.
