The Office of National Scholars (ONS) was nominated for going above and beyond in everything they do to make sure USF students have the best chance to compete and engage in global opportunities. Because of their outreach, the number of applicants for the prestigious Gilman Scholarship tripled and the number of Gilman Scholars doubled during this past year! USF students were selected for 63 other prestigious awards including Fulbright, Critical Language Scholars, Frost, Pickering, and many others.

What sets ONS apart is the partnering and programming efforts the office, as a whole, engages in. They are an incredible resource and have collaborated with other offices on campus to share data and expand their outreach into areas of mutual interest. Their innovative work has generated success in ways that were unimaginable several years ago. The global achievements of our students are greatly enhanced thanks to this wonderful, caring group of people.
