05/06/25 — Each year, the Florida Gubernatorial Fellows Program selects Florida university students for a nine-month tenure in Tallahassee working for and learning from government leaders. The USF alumni of this experiential program are now succeeding in a variety of fields across the country.

USF School of Geosciences PhD Student Victoria Brown Selected for Boren Fellowship

05/05/25 — Victoria Brown is pursuing her PhD in Geography and Environmental Science and Policy with a focus on East African coffee farming. This fall, she will travel to Tanzania to study Swahili and perform research for the 2025-26 academic year through a Boren Fellowship.

Critical Language Scholarship Opens Door for USF Student to Study Arabic in Jordan

05/02/25 — Third-year University of South Florida student Ashley Parow, a history and political science double major, was selected for the 2025 Critical Language Scholarship Program to study Arabic language and culture in Amman, Jordan.
