USF Continues to Lead Florida in Gilman Scholars

06/09/25 — The University of South Florida reached a three-year high with 44 students awarded a total of $124,500 through the Gilman Scholarship for the 2024-25 academic year. The scholarship provides funding to undergraduate students with financial need to support study abroad opportunities around the world.

Catching Up with USF Florida Gubernatorial Fellows Program Alumni

05/06/25 — Each year, the Florida Gubernatorial Fellows Program selects Florida university students for a nine-month tenure in Tallahassee working for and learning from government leaders. The USF alumni of this experiential program are now succeeding in a variety of fields across the country.

USF School of Geosciences PhD Student Victoria Brown Selected for Boren Fellowship

05/05/25 — Victoria Brown is pursuing her PhD in Geography and Environmental Science and Policy with a focus on East African coffee farming. This fall, she will travel to Tanzania to study Swahili and perform research for the 2025-26 academic year through a Boren Fellowship.
