Learning About Sensory Overload and Neurodiversity
Florida Center for Inclusive Communities, Summer Speaker Series
June 22, Noon - 1:00pm
Online, Register Here

Daniela Guzman-Stacciarini created her presentation because of a general lack of knowledge and consideration on college campuses for students who may experience sensory overload. From unannounced events with loud music and crowds to noisy study and living spaces, she noticed that many aspects of campus life are presenting unintentional barriers/challenges for neurodivergent students. Therefore, titled “Learning About Sensory Overload and Neurodiversity”- Daniela’s presentation seeks to emphasize how university students and
faculty can change certain aspects of their behavior to better support neurodivergent students.
