DISTINGUISHED UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR

The Distinguished University Professor Award is bestowed upon members of the USF faculty who have had - and continue to have - outstanding records of achievement in their disciplines.

American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Award for Scientific Freedom and Responsibility

The AAAS Award for Scientific Freedom and Responsibility is presented by the American Association for the Advancement of Science to honor scientists, engineers, and affiliated organizations whose exemplary actions have demonstrated scientific freedom and/or responsibility in challenging circumstances.

American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellow

Election as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellow is an honor bestowed upon AAAS members by their peers. The Association of American Universities (AAU) recognizes AAAS Fellows as one of the indicators of distinction within an institution’s faculty.

American School of Classical Studies at Athens (ASCSA) National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Fellow

Since its inception in 1994, the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Fellowship program at the ASCSA has supported projects for scholars with distinguished research and teaching careers in the humanities, particularly relating to Greece in all periods, and other areas of the classical world.

National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Fellow

National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Fellowships are competitive
awards granted to individual scholars pursuing projects that embody exceptional
research, rigorous analysis, and clear writing. Applications must clearly articulate
a project’s value to humanities scholars, general audiences, or both.

National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award

The Faculty Early Career Development Program offers the most prestigious awards to support early-career faculty who have the potential to stand as role models in both research and education, and lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.

Fulbright Specialist

This program recognizes highly qualified U.S. academics and professionals who are then paired with host institutions abroad where they can share their expertise, as well as invest themselves in other cultures.

Royal Society of Chemistry Fellow
