Do you need a copy of your USF transcript? We can help you obtain one, whether you’re a current student or a former student, including recent graduates. Use the information on this page to guide you. If you still have questions, please contact us or visit our FAQ page.

Please note, you will not be able to request an official transcript if you have any holds on your account preventing the release of transcripts. You can check your holds in Student Self-Service by signing and going to Student > Student Profile > Holds.

USF Health and Former New College Students

Attention: USF Health and Former New College Students

Official transcripts for students who previously attended New College of USF (1975-2001) must be requested directly from New College of Florida.

Official and unofficial transcripts for students who participated in the Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy, or the Master of Physician Assistant Studies programs through USF Health must be requested through USF Health's Transcript Portal.

Current Student

To request a transcript, log in to your Student Self-Service account. Once you’re logged in, navigate to Request Official Transcript under Student Record.

Follow the prompts from the National Student Clearinghouse to place your order. Official transcripts have a fee of $10 plus an additional processing fee.

U.S. Armed Forces Transcript Waiver

In keeping with enacted Florida Bill 171, the University of South Florida will waive the transcript fee for a person who is active duty or honorably discharged veteran of the United States Armed Forces and his or her spouse and dependents.

If you believe you qualify under these categories, please complete the Transcript Request form, and submit it via email to USFTranscript@usf.edu using the subject line "U.S. Armed Forces Transcript Waiver."

Students who complete at least one term at USF can access unofficial transcripts through Florida Shines. Important Unofficial Transcript Information

  • Unofficial transcripts are only available to current students and students who still have access to myUSF. If you are unable to log in to Student Self-Service or Florida Shines directly, you must request an official transcript through the National Student Clearinghouse.
  • The Office of the Registrar cannot provide a student with a copy of their unofficial transcript; currently, unofficial transcripts are only available through Florida Shines.
  • Unofficial transcripts cannot replace an official transcript in instances that specifically ask for an official transcript (admission to another institution, application for employment, etc.).
  • Unofficial transcripts are clearly marked "unofficial" and are not digitally certified.

Former Students and Alumni

Degree Certified Transcripts - Recent Graduates

Transcripts with degree statements are available approximately six weeks after grades are visible on Student Self-Service regardless of whether you participate in Commencement. You may request a final official transcript with the degree statement once you have received an email confirmation that your degree has been awarded. Please ensure you review your Student Self-Service account to confirm there are no holds that may prevent the release of your credentials.

No Access to Student Self-Service

Sending Transcripts

If you need to send a transcript to another institution, you can choose that option when you order through the National Student Clearinghouse. You can send either electronically or by physical mail.

  • USF uses the FASTER/SPEEDE electronic transcript transfer system when possible, if the recipient institution accepts transcript that way. Place these requests through the National Student Clearinghouse as well.
    • On the “Available Credentials” screen, select the “Official Transcript” order option. On the “Set Delivery Destination” page, use the search feature to find your intended recipient.
    • If they accept FASTER/SPEEDE, the default delivery method should be listed as “Electronic.” If the only option available is a physical transcript, it will be sent through the mail.
  • If you’re sending a transcript to the Florida Department of Education, transcripts are sent via FASTER/SPEEDE as long as that option is selected via the search feature as described. Find them under “Florida Dept of Education Certification.”
  • Note: If you’re on the “Select Transcript and Delivery Details” screen and don’t see your intended recipient when using the search feature, choose either the “Employer or Other” or “Myself” options to go to the screen where you enter the recipient’s information manually.

Order Status/Pickup
