National Geographic Museum of Exploration showcases USF professor’s bronze reconstruction of iconic “first bird” dinosaur
After more than 20 years of research, USF Associate Professor Ryan Carney unveiled the world's most scientifically accurate 3D reconstruction of Archaeopteryx at the National Geographic Museum of Exploration. The project helped answer longstanding questions about the iconic fossil species that links dinosaurs and birds.

Z News earns first place in international competition, setting new standard for USF student journalism

Two USF students named 2026 Goldwater Scholars
Diya Upadhyaya of the College of Arts and Sciences has been awarded the nation’s highest honor for undergraduate STEM research, the Goldwater Scholarship. Continuing its remarkable research growth, USF has now produced at least one Goldwater Scholar every year since 2018.

All six of this year’s Outstanding Young Alumni award recipients hold a degree from the College of Arts and Sciences, showcasing the college’s ability to produce innovative and creative alumni who achieve career success under the age of 36.
