Online International Conference:
Sociology of Pandemic: A Cross-Disciplinary Understanding

Supported by the Department of Sociology and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences at the University of  South Florida, the International Sociological Assocation's RC47 Section (Social Classes and Social Movements), and the University Telematica Marconi of Rome, Italy, Dr. Simone Maddanu and Dr. Emanuele Toscano present this online conference. The conference aims to address current global challenges which, more than ever, require a multi-geographies and cross-disciplinary effort to measure, interpret, and understand. Among the contemporary planetary crises discussed are the pandemic, global inequalities, and climate change. Contributors from all around the world will address incomplete analyses and misunderstandings about the Covid-19 pandemic, its governance, and effects. The conference incorporates different analyses and approaches – quantitative as well as qualitative, technical as well as humanitarian - from a glocal perspective.
