Our research extends the science of human potential into health and performance. USF researchers investigate exercise, nutrition, body composition, movement, hydration, and heat — including research on exercise, nutrition, and women's health through menopause. This work generates evidence that helps people perform, adapt, and thrive while bringing research directly into everyday health and fitness decisions.

USF is designing the future of human-Al learning. Our researchers are developing technologies that augment human expertise, including Al-supported personalized mathematics instruction, immersive technologies, and new approaches that augment educator expertise. Across research and practice, we are exploring how Al can expand human capability while preparing learners and educators to use emerging technologies effectively, critically, and ethically.

USF is rethinking how learning translates into opportunity. Our researchers study the connections among education, work, and economic mobility — from cybersecurity and work-based learning to career pathways, credentials, and employer partnerships. By connecting research with industry and community needs, we are developing new approaches to building talent and preparing people for rapidly changing professions and workplaces.
