Course Permit Requests

Some College of Education courses are only open to students majoring in education and others are available to students pursuing a major outside of the college.

If you are attempting to register for a course offered by the College of Education and receive an error message that indicates a major restriction of that you need a permit to complete your registration, the information below will help you direct your request for a course permit to the right staff member.

To request a course permit:

  1. Identify the prefix for the course you are interested in registering for.
  2. Send an email from your USF email address to the contact person listed next to the prefix in the tables below.
  3. In your request, include your name, UID number, course information (term, prefix, number, section, and CRN) A Course Reference Number (CRN) is a unique 5 digit identifier assigned to a class for registration purposes, and the reason you are seeking to enroll in the course.
  4. You can expect a response to your email within 2-3 business days of making the request.
