The University of South Florida Research Park has been named the 2022 Outstanding Research Park by the Association of University Research Parks. This follows the grand opening of a new state-of-the-art research center that deepens the connection between university innovation and the business community, helping advance the Tampa Bay region’s growing startup ecosystem.
Located at the USF Research Park on the Tampa campus, the three-story, 120,000-square-foot mixed-use building features advanced laboratory facilities, as well as office and meeting spaces for new and established companies.
Tampa Bay is one of the nation’s fastest growing regions and much of that success is associated with the talent pipeline created by the University of South Florida.

The University of South Florida will provide seed funding to 14 new research projects designed to address the medical, technological and societal issues of COVID-19. This brings the total of institutional resources invested into pandemic research to more than $1 million.
Researchers, inventors and entrepreneurs will occupy the 120,000-square-foot building scheduled to open in fall 2021.
