University of South Florida, Total NIL team up to launch Name, Image and Likeness certificate program
Foundations of NIL is a non-credit certificate program that provides current and future student-athletes, parents and administrators the training they need to build, develop, activate and monetize NIL and land deals.
The Florida Board of Governors voted in favor of the financing plan for the University of South Florida’s new on-campus stadium, signaling state-level support for the transformational facility scheduled to open in fall 2026.
The $25 million investment will name the USF Athletics District and the Tampa General Hospital Center for Athletic Excellence, which will feature key space for clinical behavioral health services.
The approved plan includes financing for an estimated 35,000-seat facility that is scheduled to open by fall 2026. The stadium will be built on the east side of the Tampa campus on a site known as Sycamore Fields, providing synergy with the ongoing expansion of the USF Athletics district.
As a quarterback for the Bulls football team, Gerry Bohanon Jr. is enthusiastic about academics and playing for USF. His goals are to complete his studies, play for the NFL and later switch his position from on the field to the sidelines as a coach.
