The Innovators Exchange is a professional development and engagement series designed to help USF faculty deepen industry engagement, strengthen innovation readiness, and expand the reach of their research beyond academia.

The Innovators Exchange is built for faculty who want to better understand how research can move across boundaries—from campus to industry, from discovery to application, and from ideas to outcomes. It spotlights the power of collaboration between academia and industry to drive transformational change.

Through expert-led sessions, peer exchange, and strategic insights, participants gain the knowledge and tools needed to:

  • Build and sustain industry relationships
  • Navigate university resources and support systems
  • Explore commercialization and innovation pathways
  • Strengthen readiness for collaborative research
  • Communicate research value to external stakeholders
  • Identify funding and partnership opportunities


The series is designed to support researchers working across a wide range of innovation-driven pathways, including interdisciplinary research, innovation and commercialization, entrepreneurial exploration, and applied problem-solving.
