Civic Engagement & Service

Stampede of Service

Stampede of Service (SOS) is now a 3 part event series featuring a full weekend of service opportunities focused on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  Traditionally a single morning of service, SOS will now include both an interactive kickoff and wrap up event facilitated by Civic Engagement Board student leaders.

SOS engages students in meaningful service experiences that move them along the Active Citizen Continuum. In the process, students will connect with each other around common causes while also learning how their passions connect to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Lastly, students will become aware of how their community service can also help them gain career competencies that employers are looking for.  This is truly an experience that shapes each student while also making a positive impact in the community.
