BIO

Georgia Rain Jackson (MFA, University of South Florida) works in the Office of Communications and Marketing at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee campus. Since 2015, she has taught courses across the Department of English in Professional and Technical Communication, Rhetoric and Composition, Literature, and Creative Writing. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes radical feminist pedagogy and the importance of engaging with writing as a meaning-making process. Former students have described her classroom as both a “stimulating” and “friendly” environment in which they felt comfortable expressing themselves orally and in writing.

Jackson is currently working on a coming-of-age novel. Her short fiction has appeared in Booth. She is the host of the Madeline Oliveri Creative Writing Workshop at the Palm Harbor Library.
