Library Leader and Innovator, Dr. Barbara Stites, Joins USF School of Information Faculty

Dean Barbara Stites, Ph.D., formerly of Florida Gulf Coast University, will join School of Information faculty in Spring 2021, teaching Library Administration. She has been both an Alice Smith Lecturer and has been recognized with the School of Information's Jean Key Gates Distingushed Alumni Award in 2005. Dr. Stites has served as Executive Director of two multi-type library consortiums, Southwest Florida Library Network and the Tampa Bay Library Consortium (TBLC). Dr. Stites has been President of the Florida Library Association (FLA) and was recently honored with the FLA Lifetime Achievement Award.
