This summer Dr. Rebecca Vandewalle, Assistant Professor in the School of Information, presented her work on integrating testing into NetLogo workflows at the inaugural NetLogo user conference. Held at the University of Illinois at Chicago, the conference brought together NetLogo users with the objective to expand agent-based modeling skills and share experiences using NetLogo.
Dr. Vandewalle’s current research includes applying spatial simulation approaches within software, such as NetLogo, to information sharing for decision-making and gaining situational awareness during emergency evacuations. A recent news article highlighted Dr. Vandewalle's comments on how NetLogo can be used for geospatial problems. To learn more about Dr. Vandewalle’s research visit her website here.
