USF Hosts 2026 Alice G. Smith Lecture at FLA Annual Meeting

Nancy Fredericks

Nancy Fredericks will be giving her presentation, “Community: The Heart of the Library,” on May 13th, 2026.

Join us for the annual Alice G. Smith Lecture at the Florida Library Association Annual Meeting. Sponsored by the University of South Florida, the Alice G. Smith Lecture was established in 1989 to honor an author or scholar whose achievements have been integral to librarianship or information sciences. This year Nancy Fredericks will be giving her presentation, “Community: The Heart of the Library,” on May 13th, 2026. The conference will be held at the Hilton DoubleTree Universal, Orlando Hotel. There will also be a USF Alumni Reception at the FLA meeting, so if you’re attending the conference, we would love to see you there. We have also shared our State of the MLIS Program 2026 video on YouTube as well, so please go check that out to learn more about USF’s MLIS program going forward.
