The Manougian STEM Education Center, under the direction of Razvan Teodorescu, received a $5,000 AMS Young Scholars Program award. The Manougian STEM Education Center resumed organizing its summer school in June 2026.

Jean-François Biasse Receives Outstanding Research Achievement Award
Jean-François Biasse was among eight recipients of the 2026 USF Outstanding Research Achievement Awards. Dr. Biasse was celebrated for his substantial contributions to the development of cryptographic schemes capable of resisting attacks from quantum computers.

Professor Christopher Bishop Delivers R. Kent Nagle lecture
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics' Nagle Lecture Series (NLS), held in honor of the late R. Kent Nagle, featured Professor Cristopher Bishop, of Stony Brook University. He discussed how to decompose complex geometric objects into smaller pieces by cutting them into triangles.

Nataša Jonoska Receives an NSF FET Grant
Nataša Jonoska received $316,700 from an $895,142 grant to USF, Arizona State University, and New York University from the National Science Foundation’s Foundations of Emerging Technologies program. The research will begin by developing mathematical tools to distinguish molecules based on their 3D shapes and structures.
