Public Policy Programs For All Academic Majors

Helping create a better future for all Floridians is a core principle of the Public Policy Internship Programs within the College of Arts and Sciences. Students have a variety of learning experiences from classes taught by some of the most distinguished Florida decision makers to directed study and intern programs in the Tampa area, Tallahassee, and Washington, D.C.

The Washington Center For All Academic Majors

The Washington Center provides students with the opportunity to spend a semester in an internship and classroom learning in Washington, D.C. Conducted in partnership with The Washington Center for Internships and Seminars, students are provided with a comprehensive learning experience. Students enroll in an academic course, an intern in an organization located in Washington DC or the vicinity, and are involved in a civic engagement project while there. This provides students with the opportunity to explore a wide variety of career paths while being immersed in the intellectual and cultural diversity of our nation's capital.

Internships are available in the following areas:

  • Arts, Humanities & Education
  • Business, Economics & Trade
  • Media & Communications
  • Politics
