Keller Blackwell

After spending more than a decade in the restaurant industry, Keller Blackwell knew he was ready for a big change. He enrolled at USF as a transfer student, first being attracted to the school's rising prominence across the country. But, he says it was a culture of innovation that pushed him to pursue mathematics – a choice that has opened many doors. Keller was a 2019 Goldwater Scholar and is USF's first Knight-Hennessey Scholar – an award that's gained him admission to Stanford University where he will pursue a PhD in Computer Science.

This video was originally produced and published in March 2020. The student, Keller Blackwell, graduated from USF in 2020.
