Concerts & Special Events
This free comedy show/pep rally is held at the beginning of every fall semester during the Week of Welcome. Round Up is one of the biggest events of the year, featuring a top-shelf comedian like: Nick Cannon and the Wild N' Out Show, Lil' Duval, and Chris D'Elia.
This annual winter-themed festival is usually held the last week of fall classes. Winter Wonderland has a winter-related theme and fun activities like stuff-a-plush, make your own candle, inflatable slides, fake snow, ice rink, photo booths, decorate an ornament, hot chocolate stations, and food from a local restaurant.
Battle of the Bands
A Campus Activities Board (CAB) tradition, Battle of the Bands is the annual band competition held each spring. To compete, bands submit a CD usually in February. Four or five bands are then invited to compete and a panel of judges decides the winner. The winner gets to play as an opening band at Bullstock, the big on-campus concert held in late spring. Bands also have a chance to win the People's Choice award with students texting their vote.
Bullstock is the annual spring concert put on by CAB. It began in 1997 as a concert for local performers and has grown into a music festival with top shelf bands/performers like All American Rejects, Andy Grammer, and Young the Giant. The event is usually held in April and, in 2012, Bullstock became the Friday event to close out USF Week [insert hyperlink to usfweek.com]. With fun activities-- like inflatables, air brush tattoos, zip lines, and rock climbing walls--plus great food from local restaurants and food trucks, this concert event is not one to miss! This event is free and open to the public.
