Green Fee Administration

The Student Green Energy Fee assists the University of South Florida with conserving energy, reducing energy costs, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, promoting renewable energy technologies, reducing water usage and/or increasing resource sustainability.

Currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff are invited to turn their brilliant ideas – small or large – into formal proposals for outcome-driven projects to help the Tampa campus be more green. If their proposal meets the Student Green Energy Fund (SGEF) criteria and is feasible, it could be funded for implementation.

This fee has been renewed by student body vote every three years since the university committed to this initiative in 2011. Student Success RMD assists the university with administering the program.

More information can be found on the Student Green Energy Fund website.
