School of Social Work professor emeritus dies at 80

School of Social Work Professor Emeritus Marion Becker died on December 16, 2021 from a heart attack. Dr. Becker left a long-lasting impact on many people and our college and will be truly missed. Dr. Becker's work focused on quality of care and quality of life outcomes for vulnerable populations, with a particular emphasis on older adults with co-occurring mental and physical health disorders. To share the words of her colleagues, Dr. Becker was "a dedicated and highly productive professor, a gifted teacher, an outstanding mentor to both students and younger faculty, and a good friend to many."
