School of Social Work faculty receive USF New Researcher Grant Awards

Jerome Galea, PhD and Dasha Rhodes, PhD, LMSW are faculty members in the School of Social Work.

Dasha Rhodes, PhD, LMSW and Jerome Galea, PhD were awarded $10,000 as part of the USF New Researcher Grant Award. Rhodes received the award for her study titled, "Exploring Social Workers Job Preparedness in Law Enforcement Agencies." Galea received the award for his project titled, "From ambivalence to action – using a conversational agent or 'chatbot' to support smoking cessation: a proof-of-concept study." Galea is working alongside College of Nursing Associate Professor Uma Nair, PhD on this study.
