Interpreting Training program launches professional education and networking series

Sign language interpreting students attend the first event of the "Lunch n Learn" series.

The interpreter training program in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders hosted its inaugural event of a new "Lunch n Learn" series. The program will give sign language interpreting students the opportunity to meet with professionals in the field to delve deeper into topics and specializations that are pertinent to working in the Deaf community post-graduation. The first event focused on interpreting in the DeafBlind community. Next month's event will focus on performing arts interpreting.
