CJMHSA TAC shares data for 2023

CJMHSA TAC releases their 2023 annual report

At the end of 2023, the USF Criminal Justice, Mental Health and Substance Abuse (CJMHSA) Technical Assistance Center (TAC) submitted its FY22-23 Annual Report to the Florida Department of Children and Families. The report is prepared by the TAC and summarizes the 34 CJMHSA reinvestment grant programs throughout the State of Florida. In addition to its use by communities, the report goes to the governor and other high-ranking members of the state’s legislature to increase awareness of the reinvestment grant program and inform future policy and funding decisions.

Key highlights include the following:

  • 83.9% of performance measures met out of 276 measures across all grantees
  • More than $54M of criminal justice costs and avoided for grantees who track these impacts
  • More than 4,500 individuals served reinvestment grant programs in FY22-23
  • 100% satisfaction with CJMHSA TAC technical assistance events
  • Nearly one dozen USF faculty and external subject matter experts engaged to support TAC events

The report can be used by researchers, community leaders, and policymakers to measure the impact of grant funds and monitor systems change initiatives throughout the state.
