The Cybercrime Interdisciplinary Behavioral Research Laboratory (CIBR Lab) proudly showcased the work of its undergraduate researchers at USF's 2026 Undergraduate Research Conference on April 20.
A total of 13 undergraduate student researchers presented three innovative research posters on a range of cybercrime topics under the guidance of George Burruss, PhD, professor and chair of the Department of Criminology and founding director of the CIBR Lab, and doctoral students Courtney Weber, MA, and Marlena Bolton, MS.
These projects reflected months of rigorous empirical work, highlighting issues such as phishing victimization, cybersecurity behaviors, AI technology, and emerging digital threats. The students demonstrated not only strong analytical and methodological skills, but also the ability to translate research into clear, professional presentations. Their participation underscores the CIBR Lab’s commitment to fostering hands-on research experiences and preparing the next generation of scholars and practitioners in cybercrime and cybersecurity.
