Applied Behavior Analysis program honored at international convention

Raymond Miltenberger, PhD, BCBA-D, professor and director of the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program, was awarded the Enduring Programmatic Contributions to Behavior Analysis Award during the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) annual convention held May 23 in San Francisco.

Presented by the Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis (SABA), the award recognizes an agency, department or facility that has made sustained and lasting contributions to the field of behavior analysis.

Miltenberger accepted the award from SABA President Kent Johnson and invited his colleagues in attendance to join him on stage in recognition of their shared role in the program’s success.

"I was honored to accept this award on behalf of the faculty and students in the USF ABA program," Miltenberger said. "The award reflects the hard work and dedication of our faculty who have made our program an enduring success."

Now celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2026, the ABA program has built a strong reputation through the commitment of its students and faculty, extensive research contributions and a significant record of published articles in the field.

The award marks an important milestone for the program and highlights two decades of growth, innovation and impact within the behavior analysis community. For faculty, students and alumni alike, the recognition serves as a testament to the passion and collaboration that continues to shape the future of applied behavior analysis at USF.
