USF social work students recognized at 2026 USF Health Student Awards Ceremony

Two USF Master of Social Work students were recognized at the 2026 USF Health Student Awards Ceremony on April 22, 2026, at the Marshall Student Center.

Naomi Presnall-Shvorin received the Student InterCouncil Member of the Year Award and was announced as the incoming president of the Student InterCouncil Executive Board. The Student InterCouncil brings together student leaders from across USF Health to advance interprofessional collaboration, student engagement, service and leadership.

Sandra Accilien was recognized for her service as president of the Student InterCouncil Executive Board. Accilien, who is graduating this semester, has represented the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences and the School of Social Work through her leadership within this interprofessional student governance structure.

As part of the School of Social Work’s continued engagement in interprofessional education across USF Health,  Presnall-Shvorin and Accilien's recognition highlights the important role social work students play in collaborative leadership, service and student governance.
